Artist's Description
This is the winning post at Epsom Downs where the Derby is run, again it amused me to think of putting a tiger amongst the hoi poloy of Derby day, it looked a bit like a circus ring when I made the grass look parched. I suppose you could look at it as civilization encroaching on an endangered species, with the empty space around the tiger being slowly eroded.
